To keep with church
tradition, since Justin and Brenda will not be able to be in Iowa prior to their
wedding, a monetary, gift card, or etc. bridal shower is planned for Justin
Plank who will be married to Brenda Welfley, May 14, 2005 in Delaware.
Invitations are in your mailboxes today for anyone wishing to
participate in this shower. You may either mail your card independently or
give it to Voyce Oswald or Melody Miller by May 3. Checks may be made
payable to Justin Plank. Thank You!
Mark your calendars! On Wednesday evening, May 4th, the MYF will be hosting a pie and ice cream social along with a labor for hire auction and pie auction. The money raised will be used to pay for our trip to Charlotte 2005. We still have a large sum of money to earn, so we would love to have a big turn out. Anyone interested in helping us out by baking some pies should talk to Sheila Ours. There will also be a sign up posted on the bulletin board in the foyer.
FOCUS articles are due TODAY.
Vacation Bible School will be held here at LDC June 6-10. If you would be willing to help out please check the bulletin board and write your name where you are interested in helping. This coming Friday and Saturday, Marcia Miller, Voyce Oswald, Jim Hochstetler, Jim Hershberger, Ray Bender, Judy Gingerich and Pastor Don will be attending a "Healthy Congregations" Seminar in Des Moines, sponsored by Lombard Mennonite Peace Center.
