If you have any items listed above and would like to loan them for the evening, please bring them to the church by Sunday January 15^th and have them marked so they can be identified following the event. MEALS IN TEACHING! Please submit your name or the name of someone you think would benefit from a special teaching seminar to be held here on February 18, 2006. We would like to finish this discernment process by January 15. Forms are in the church foyer.

Now available: "The Purpose Driven Life" written by Rick Warren has impacted many lives. We offer the opportunity to purchase this book for $8, for yourself or a friend. If you would like to purchase a copy or already have a copy, please let the church office know. It is our hope that everyone in the church will be able to use a copy during the 40 Days of Purpose. You may stop by the table in the foyer following the morning service and pick up a copy.

Pastor Howard Wagler, Senior Pastor of South Hutchinson Mennonite Church, will be with us the weekend of February 4 & 5 to help us better understand the impact of the 40 Days of Purpose on his congregation. The South Hutchinson Mennonite Church has studied the Purpose Driven Church Model and has helped several congregations across the Mennonite Church to faithfully understand Rick Warren’s writing from an Anabaptist perspective.

IMS Announcements:

• It's About All! An old-fashioned radio show will air January 14 at the 3rd annual performance of songs, stories and down-home humor on the IMS radio stage. It’s About All! performers include Andy Wilcom Trio, Bradley Kauffman, Mary Forney, host Paul Roberts and others. Individual tickets at the door are $4.00 for students and $8.00 for adults. The performance begins at 7:00 PM. Limited seating available.
• IMS alumnus Wilford D. Yoder will be sharing his outstanding outdoor photographs January 13-15 in the IMS chapel. The show opens on Friday night at 6:30 p.m. with Yoder hosting a special artist reception and presenting a digital nature program at 7:00 p.m. Weekend hours include Saturday from 4-7:00 p.m. and Sunday from 2-4:00 p.m. All photos at this exhibit will be for sale through the weekend with 80% of total sales going to Iowa Mennonite School. Donations accepted at the door.
• The senior class of 2006, along with their parents, will serve the annual Chili Supper on Saturday, January 28^th, from 4:30 - 8:00 p.m. Advance tickets are available from Jesse Bender, Travis Coblentz, Lindsay Erb, Sara Miller or April Nissley. $6.50 for adults; $4.50 for children age 5-12; children 4 and under are free. There is babysitting available in the chapel.

Wednesday, January 11 at 2:30 p.m. the Caregiver’s Support Group will meet at Pleasantview Home, Kalona in the Chapel, Blue Room.  Lavon Yeggy, RN, BSN, Memory Loss Nurse Specialist, will be present.  This is an informal meeting for all persons who are caregivers or have interest in assisting those with memory loss and dementia.
